Offers employment counselling to newcomers who are unemployed or underemployed and actively seeking work.  Services include:

Services are provided by qualified staff who specialize in the following industries:

Program of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training, and Skills Development that provides services to help job seekers, workers, and employers with advice, grants, and other services around public and private sector employment.

Provides tailored employment services to adults with developmental disabilities who are eligible for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Employment Supports program. 

Services include:

  • assessment and case management
  • job finding assistance
  • job coaching
  • employer benefits

Offers training opportunities and employment support for young women and non-binary youth.  

Services include:

  • Up to 6 weeks of one-to-one job preparation support
  • Up to 14 weeks paid job placement
  • Additional supports for retaining employment
  • Occupational Therapy support as required

Certifications may include: 

REP, an educational and employment program for youth ages 16 to 25 who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.

Employment resources and coaching to find sustainable employment in Ontario. Some agencies target their services to people with a disability. Contact each agency for more details.

Services provided include:

  • assessment of skills, interests and abilities

  • job search strategies and support, including resume development and interview preparation

Provides temporary regular financial benefits to individuals who lose their jobs through no fault of their own (for example, due to shortage of work, seasonal or mass lay-offs) and are available for and able to work, but can't find a job; able-bodied claimants must be seeking employment to remain eligible. 

Applications should be submitted as soon as employment ends. Individuals can apply for benefits even if they have not yet received their Record of Employment (ROE)
