A youth worker from the John Howard Society is assigned to the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board to provide the following functions in the suspension/expulsion program:
Provides substance use and mental health services for teenagers, young adults, and their families or caregivers.
Provincial program that helps families who are caring for a child with a developmental and/or physical disability by providing funding to buy services and supports that help parents with caring for their child, or that support the child to join ac
Providing support to 16 and 17-year-old youth seeking housing and/or housing maintenance; assistance to search for, view, apply, and retain housing.
Provides a central referral point to all programs, clinics, and services offered by the Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Program. The community may call to inquire about programs and services.

Social recreation rehabilitation program held in the evening to compliment individual's psychiatric day program. Operates out of a number of locations throughout Hamilton. Goals of the program are to:
Offering settlement services for newcomer women and gender-diverse folks, providing a comprehensive range of services and support immigrants settling in their new communities.
The Senior Pass Program provides discounted HSR transportation to eligible older adults (65-79 years of age). This includes a PRESTO card.
