Veterinary Care Expense Assistance

Programs that pay the veterinary expenses, including prescription costs, of people who cannot afford to make the payments themselves and whose pets would otherwise be unable to receive necessary medical care. Also included are programs that provide vouchers which enable eligible individuals to obtain veterinary care including prescriptions for their pets.

 

Services

Provides low-cost comprehensive preventative medicine services and general out-patient medical and surgical services to cats and dogs of low-income families and those on social assistance. 

Preventative services include:

Provides subsidies for needed veterinary care to people who are unable to afford the cost of required, medically necessary procedures for their cats or dogs. Funds preventive care such as spays/neuters, vaccinations, and parasite controls, as well as essential and urgent medical care.

The Farley Foundation helps low-income pet owners in Ontario by subsidizing the cost of non-elective veterinary care for their sick or injured pets. Applications for funding must be made by veterinary clinics, not directly from pet owners.
