Assistive Technology Equipment Acquisition Assistance

Programs that pay all or a portion of the costs associated with purchasing, leasing or otherwise acquiring assistive technology equipment. Included are programs that pay for needed assistive technology products outright and those that provide or arrange for interest-free, low-interest or market rate loans to finance the lease/purchase.

 

Services

Provincial program that provides payment assistance to help people with long-term physical disabilities pay for customized equipment, and to help cover the cost of other specialized supplies.

Ontario provincial program that provides health-related items to people receiving Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) funding and people on low income.

Health related benefits include but are not limited to:

Provides home assessments and recommendations at no cost to help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes, and falls prevention education program to both seniors and caregivers.

Safety at Home services include:

Provides funding to eligible applicants for basic home and/or vehicle modifications which enables children and adults with mobility restrictions to continue living in their homes, avoid job loss, and participate fully in their communities.
