Distress Centre Halton is a non-profit charitable organization that provides telephone and online support to people 365 days of the year. All services are confidential, anonymous, free, and available to all age groups.
Offers a variety of courses to educate Canadians on first aid and emergency safety.
Courses include, but are not limited to:
Collects and investigates complaints about physicians and surgeons in Ontario. Also collects and distributes compliments from the public to physicians and surgeons that have offered exemplary care.
Offers licensed before and after school care for children ages 4-12 years old, as well as PA days, winter break, March break, and summer day camps.
Promotes independence in living and self-determination in decision-making for individuals with serious mental illness.
Provides free educational courses and skills training workshops to the community on a variety of topics, including parenting, child development, and child and youth mental health issues.
Provides full-spectrum reproductive doula care, including birth and postpartum support.
Offers summer camps in Hamilton for children ages 5 -10. Each week includes hands-on activities, outdoor play, and local excursions. Before and after care available for additional fee.
Offers a variety of French Immersion day camps for children throughout summer, winter, March break, and PA Days. No prior experience in French is required. Extended care is available.
