Offering settlement services for newcomer women and gender-diverse folks, providing a comprehensive range of services and support immigrants settling in their new communities. Some of the services offered through this program are:

Provides a range of programs to help newcomers get settled in Canada, including peer-to-peer support groups, settlement and referral services, English conversation circles, and some translation services. 

Provides a range of services to support newcomers get settled in Canada. Settlement counsellors assist newcomer families with the following:

An immigration and newcomer program designed for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth who are newcomers to Hamilton.

Services include:

Offers a place to eat, drink, and rest.

  • restroom access
  • hygiene supplies
  • free clothing including socks and underwear
  • harm reduction supplies
  • referrals to social supports and housing

A weekly check-in program for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in Hamilton. Speqtrum staff check in with participants once a week to chat, listen, provide support, and offer resources in the community. Check ins are offered by email, text, or messages on Facebook or Instagram.

An immigration and settlement program designed for newcomer women, youth, and gender-diverse folks, to support settlement in Hamilton.

Services include:

Referrals to various services offered by Neighbour to Neighbour as well as to various community organizations, for families and individuals who are experiencing difficulties related to poverty.

Provides information on quality referrals for home cleaning, in-home foot care, in-home hairdressing, home maintenance, lawn maintenance, and gardening. 

Provides information on a full range of social services available from all levels of government, the non-profit sector, the private voluntary sectors, by individuals in the community, and from the business sector. Information is free, confidential, and available to everyone.
