Family Counselling

Programs that offer therapeutic sessions that focus on the system of relationships and communication patterns among family members and which attempt to modify those relationships and patterns to achieve greater harmony. The therapist focuses on the family as a unit rather than concentrating on one of the members who is singled out as the person in need of treatment.

Willowbridge Community Services head office is in Brantford. They have a Hamilton office located in The Gasworks. 

Willowbridge Community Services

A not-for-profit organization offering developmental services and counselling across Hamilton, Brantford, Niagara, and Haldimand Norfolk. 

Shalem Mental Health Network Counselling Services

Provides confidential counselling services by psychotherapists and social workers to support individuals, couples, and families facing a very broad range of issues. Therapists are client-centered, and able to integrate issues of faith and spirituality into sessions if chosen to.

Centre de Santé Communautaire Counselling Services

Counselling services provided by registered social workers or registered psychotherapists. Mental health services are available for children, youth, and their families, as well as for adults and people dealing with addictions.

Short-Term Crisis Intervention and Referral Services

Offers short-term crisis intervention, advocacy, system navigation assistance, and assistance with government applications (such as city housing, DARTS, pension, and ODSP.) Assistance is focused on referring clients to longer-term services.

Child and Youth Mental Health Outpatient Clinic

Offers a variety of mental health related outpatient services for children and youth age 17 and younger. Healthcare providers will meet with the parent/child to learn about and understand the difficulties the child is having, and make recommendations to best suit their needs.
