Day Camps

Programs that provide creative recreational experiences in cooperative indoor and/or outdoor group living for children, usually age four to 13, or adults who are transported to the site each morning and who return to their homes at the end of each day. Transportation may be provided by the program or may be the responsibility of the family.

 

Services

Camp programs offered by the City of Hamilton during March Break, summer and winter break, and on PA Days. Activities include: games, crafts, sports, etc. Additional support is available for campers with disabilities or special needs.

Local gymnastics club that offers March Break and summer day camps for children. In addition to gymnastics, activities include games and crafts. 

Two week ballet intensive designed to improve students’ technical and artistic abilities. Includes a performance at the end of the session, and trip to the community pool. 

Offers educational day camp programs to teach math skills to children entering grade nine, ages 13 or 14. Program focuses on the Ontario grade nine curriculum.

Educational organization that runs camp programs to teach children math skills.

Offers a variety of instructional visual arts classes and programs for all ages, as well as summer camps and day camps for children and teens. Extended care is available for day camps at an extra cost.

Offers a summer basketball camp.

Offers a number of summer camps, family camps, and leadership programs for children with diabetes.

Offers day camps throughout the summer for children ages 4-14.

Offers summer camps in Dundas for different age groups and learning styles. These camps are run by clinicians and help children develop different academic and self-help skills. 

Winter, March Break, and summer camp programs offer science, nature, art, and gardening activities in hands-on, environmentally-based programs. Extended care available for additional cost.

Offers a leadership development summer camp program that develops life skills and responsibility. Junior leaders learn to care for children in an educational setting through training, job shadowing and supported leadership activities.

Offers a variety of day camp and overnight summer camp programs with a variety of activities including:

A non-profit agency offering a number of summer camps. 

Camp dedicated to first responders and their families who been impacted by trauma and loss, giving families the opportunity to be with others who have experienced similar. Daycare for children under the age of 4 is available so that the adult may attend activities and meetings.

Offers summer camps, March break camps, day camps, and leadership development programs for children and youth. Provides a one-to-one buddy program for children with developmental or physical disabilities. Programs are developed and operated in accordance with Catholic values.

Also offers year round rentals of the outdoor camp facilities.

Offers a variety of day camps in the summer for children ages 4 to 13. All programs and activities are offered from a faith based perspective.

Music theatre program for young people, giving them the opportunity to learn about and develop a love for musical theatre and the performing arts. Also offers two-week summer camps for ages 4-13

Offers children camp activities with a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) theme, where participants learn from qualified STEM experts from across Canada. Program design emphasizes engaging activities to foster kids' interest and enthusiasm.

Offers a number of day camp programs for school aged children (ages 6-12). Includes camps in the summer, March break, winter holidays, and on PA Days, as well as monthy themed Family Fun days.

Skill development workouts for young athletes who are serous about basketball. Emphasis will be placed on footwork, ball handling and dribbling moves, shot mechanics, attacking the basket, explosiveness, speed, agility and overall basketball IQ.

Offers outdoor summer camp programs for ages 6-13 years at Christie Conservation Area. Activities include swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, field games, archery, and canoeing. Transportation by bus is available for all camp programs.

Offers a wide range of day camp programs in the summer for children ages 4 to 15. Also offers PA Day camps.
