Adult Out of Home Respite Care

Programs that provide a brief period of rest or relief for family members, guardians or others who are regular caregivers for dependent adults by offering temporary or intermittent care for the adult in a community setting/facility.

 

Services

A faith-based organization serving people with developmental disabilities and their families in Ontario. Offers residential and retreat facilities.

Services include: 

Adult day program. Social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for older adults and people with disabilities in a group setting for part of the day. Helps to support family caregivers who provide day-to-day care.

Integrated day program for frail elderly, adults with special needs and individuals with Alzheimer Disease or other dementias. 
Day program for adults who require some physical, social or emotional support to remain in the community.

Out of home hospice day program. Offers programs supporting rest, relaxation, supportive relationships, and recreation for both children and adults who are living with a life-threatening illness.

Offers emotional and practical support to individuals of all ages, who are suffering from a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. This service also provides caregiver relief. All volunteers are interviewed and provided with 30 hours of hospice palliative care education.

Integrated day program for frail elderly, adults with special needs and individuals with Alzheimer Disease or other dementia. Offers social and health programs as well as access to The Club Fitness Centre, Bubbi Bessie's Cafe, and The Classic Theatre.

 

Integrated day program for the frail elderly, adults with special needs, and individuals with Alzheimer Disease or other dementias. Services can include respite care for individuals who are not residents at Macasa Lodge. 
 

A lifeskills focused program in a small group setting. The evening includes one to one cooking in the kitchen, relaxing with some friends and lifeskills building activities. 

Provides nursing care for seniors and individuals of any age needing disease care, special needs care, or mental illness care. Services are offered both in private homes and in nursing homes and health care facilities.
