YWCA Hamilton provides inclusive, community-based services to support newcomer women, youth, and gender-diverse individuals in their settlement and integration journey in Hamilton.

Services include:

Micah House offers temporary housing and resettlement support to recently arrived refugee claimants. Provides support for attaining Legal Aid, getting a lawyer, applying for Ontario Works and connecting to community organizations.

Trained members of the Alternatives for Youth team have the capacity to distribute naloxone to youth up to the age of 25 and their family/friends in the Hamilton community.  

Provides a free, confidential helpline that provides information, support, and community referrals to Canadians affected by eating disorders.

These supports are also available via email and live chat through the website.

Multidisciplinary centre aimed at delivering expert care to people and families living with ALS.

Provides funding to eligible applicants for basic home and/or vehicle modifications which enables children and adults with mobility restrictions to continue living in their homes, avoid job loss, and participate fully in their communities.

Provides sport training and opportunities to compete for people with intellectual disabilities. Fall/winter programs include basketball, bowling, figure skating, floor hockey, swimming, track and field, and more.
