Baldwin Housing and Community Support Program

Promotes independence in living and self-determination in decision-making for individuals with serious mental illness. 

  • provides supportive housing to assist people with mental health issues to live independently in the community
  • develops skills in the areas of: cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, communications, work habits, social skills, community involvement, problem solving etc.

Eligibility

Open to Hamilton residents age 16 and older with serious mental illness who don't require 24-hour support. All residents must have a clinical support system such as a doctor, psychiatrist, or social worker, and those with a history of drug/alcohol abuse must be involved in a recognized treatment program.
