Ontario Works Program

Ontario provincial program that provides temporary financial and employment assistance for people who are in financial need.

Assistance includes:

• money to help with living expenses, including food, and rent, based on family size, housing costs, and income
• health benefits for applicants and eligible family members
• employment supports to help find and keep a job (such as workshops for resume writing, job counselling, job-specific training and basic education)
