- The Accessible Canada Act, the Employment Equity Act, and the Pay Equity Act give the Commission the authority to work with federally regulated employers to ensure they are preventing discrimination and promoting inclusion through proactive compliance with these laws

To file a complaint, a person must have been discriminated against by a federally regulated organization such as a federal government department, agency or crown corporation, chartered bank, national airline, inter-provincial transportation or shipping line, telecommunications company, certain mining industries, railway and others.
