Workplace Safety Education

Programs that are designed to increase public awareness of the measures that people can take to improve safety in the settings in which people work. Topics may include slips and falls, ladder safety, ergonomics, lifting and carrying, tool and equipment safety, personal protective equipment, vehicle safety, hazardous chemicals, electrical safety, stress, workplace violence, and safety issues such as hearing preservation programs and working safely in confined spaces that may relate to a particular industry or workplace environment.

The Occupational Health Clinics For Ontario Workers offers the following services:

The Hamilton clinic for the Ontario Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers, it also represents the South Central region.

Provides occupational health services and information meant to detect, prevent, and eliminate work-related injuries and illnesses. Network is comprised of doctors, nurses, hygienists, ergonomists, researchers, and administrators.

Services include:

The online website for Workplace Safety North. Provides training programs for workers in the forestry, mining, smelting, refining, paper, printing and converting industries.

The online website for Workplace Safety and Prevention Services. Provides training programs for workers in the agricultural, manufacturing, and service sectors.

The online website for the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA). Provides training programs for workers in the aggregates, construction, electrical, natural gas, ready-mix concrete, transportation, and utilities industries.

Offers a variety of e-learning training for workers in Ontario.
