Bed Bug Control
Programs that investigate complaints from the public about bed bug infestations, inspect affected property to determine the extent of the problem and provide eradication services or advice and necessary poisons for eradication. Bed bugs are small parasitic insects that feed on the blood of mammals and birds. They live in mattresses, linens, and headboards, as well as in the walls, flooring, and other furniture in areas where people sleep in homes, hotels, and other dwellings; and while they do not transmit disease, their bites can cause large, itchy welts on the skin. Bed beg infestations are considered a public health nuisance and should be reported to the authorities.
