Continuing Education

Programs, usually offered as adjuncts to community college, college or university programs, that provide credit-granting and/or noncredit courses for adults who are seeking specific learning experiences on a part-time or short-term basis for personal enrichment, academic or occupational development after they have left the formal education system. The main purpose of continuing education is to improve upon skills that adults already have.

 

Services

Offers support to young parents navigating a return to secondary school, adult education or alternative education options to complete secondary school (Grade 12).

Parkway Learning Centre for Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Continuing Education. Offers a variety of programs to help students achieve their English language proficiency and educational goals.

City Learning Centre for Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Continuing Education. Offers Credit and Academic Upgrading services for students and newcomers. 

Hill Park Learning Centre for Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Continuing Education. East Hamilton location of the English Language Program.

Downtown location of the City Learning Centre ESL and LINC for Hamilton Wentworth District School Board Continuing Education. Offers classes in Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) and Adult ESL (English as a Second Language).

Supports students and their families with their transition to attending school in Hamilton. Provides English as a Second Language (ESL) assessment services to mature students, newcomers, and children.
