Human Trafficking Shelters

Programs that provide a safe, secure shelter environment for individuals who have been abducted, sold, recruited under fraud or pretense or otherwise brought under the control of another person, and forced, by means of threats, intimidation, violence or other forms of coercion, into unpaid or underpaid labor, servitude, prostitution or forced marriage, either domestically within their own country or internationally.

 

Services

A second stage, long-term transitional home for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking in Hamilton and Halton. Offers access to specialized programs and services, individualized and holistic care, wrap-around services, and a sense of belonging and community amongst other survivors.

Part of Interval House; a safe space where women can access counselling, safety planning, groups, housing services, and employment supports.

The head office location for Interval House of Hamilton.

Provides wraparound services for Indigenous survivors of Human Trafficking including emergency crisis beds, transportation, food, and trauma-informed culturally respectful care.

Interval House of Hamilton consists of the Victoria & Friends emergency shelter, as well as community programs, for women and their children who are experiencing family violence, abuse, and/or human trafficking.
