Apartment Building Recycling Programs

Community-sponsored voluntary or mandatory programs which encourage residents of large apartment buildings or condominium complexes to recycle reusable resources such as paper, plastic, glass and metals. Recycling programs for people living in large multi-unit residences are likely to vary, and often operate as a separate program than those for single-family residences or smaller multi-unit dwellings. In some instances, large containers are placed in a common area for people to drop-off recycling materials. In other areas, landlords may need to go through a special registration process that includes an agreement regarding the terms and conditions for pick-up.
