Pedestrian Crossing Installation/Maintenance

Programs that are responsible for the installation and maintenance of marked and signed pedestrian crossings in residential neighbourhoods, at major intersections, near schools and at mid-block locations other than an intersection as well as raised crosswalks, flashing yellow lights, bulb-outs, centre medians and other crosswalk treatments which reduce vehicle speed at the crosswalk, reduce exposure of pedestrians to vehicles, increase the awareness of the presence of pedestrians and increase visibility of crosswalks.
