Cultural Heritage Groups

Organizations that work for the preservation and promotion of the traditions, values and lifestyles of different cultural groups; organize activities and events which promote cultural exchange locally, regionally and nationally; and seek to encourage understanding and respect for different cultural heritages among youthful members of the group as well as the mainstream population.



This organization is focused on the social and cultural heritage of Indians of South Asian origins living in Canada. It seeks to contribute to Canadian life and culture while championing the interests of Indo-Canadian community.

Offers programs that are focused on Italian culture and language.

Archives maintained by the Beverly Heritage Society

Works closely with the Westfield Heritage Village. The organization operates an archives that include studies of Beverly architecture, business, and family histories.

This group meets during the year only in certain months. Some meetings take place a select historical buildings in the Hamilton area.

A heritage society with a mission to increase public awareness and appreciation of local heritage, collect and preserve evidence relating to the Hamilton Mountain, and advocate for the preservation of the built heritage of Hamilton Mountain. Affiliated with the Ontario Historical Society.

Represents the Polish community's interests before the people and Government of Canada and promotes awareness and respect for Poland's history, heritage and the contribution of Poles to Canadian culture.
