Service Clubs

Organizations whose members are business and professional men and/or women, housewives, students or other individuals who have a common interest in improving the life of the community, which raise funds through events such as barbecues, theatre parties, art shows or telethons to finance any of a wide variety of community service projects that have been selected by the membership. Most service clubs are chapters of national or international organizations.

 

Services

Location of the Lynden Lions Club. Hosts the Lynden Lions Den, a hall belonging to the Lynden Lions Club, and a community park.

A provincial women's service club promotes inclusive and supportive social networking for community action and personal growth. 

Offers educational programs and advocates for social, environmental and economic change.

Local chapter of Junior Civitan International, an inclusive volunteering and leadership club for teens in grades 7 to 12. New members are welcome.

Offers regular meetings for retired and semi-retired men and women. Opportunities are available to meet others, enjoy hearing guest speakers on topical subjects, and visit places and organizations of specific appeal to the members.

Local Hamilton chapters of the International Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization that supports the local community through promoting charity, fellowship, and faith.

Local chapters of the Rotary International service club that are operated in Hamilton and surrounding areas. Clubs are active in supporting a wide variety of projects within the community.

Local chapters of Optimist International, a worldwide volunteer organization whose purpose is to aid and encourage the development of youth. Applications are accepted that promote the development of youth and the betterment of the community at large.
