Indigenous Friendship Centres

Multipurpose centres in urban settings that welcome members of First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and offer a wide variety of culturally appropriate services and activities, including general support for those who are new to urban life. Services may include community events, educational programs, support groups, library resources, recreational programs, liaison with other community organizations and counselling on employment, housing, education and health.



Provides cultural activities for children, focusing on understanding and values of Aboriginal culture. The program component involves respecting others, our community and ourselves.
