Smoking/Vaping Cessation Support

Programs that provide support which helps people who have quit smoking and/or vaping sustain their commitment during the period of time following treatment when the urge to smoke or vape is still strong.

 

Services

A free helpline that provides information on asthma, COPD, and lung cancer. Educators guidance on a variety of lung health concerns including breathing conditions, smoking cessation counselling, and indoor and outdoor air quality issues.

Confidential, non-judgmental, telephone and online support for those wanting to quit smoking. Text messaging support also available.

Brings breast, cervical, and colon cancer screening programs to residents who are under or never screened. The coach bus features a digital mammography suite, private exam room, and sitting area.

This program also offers smoking cessation support.

Provides information to callers regarding tobacco control legislation, such as local smoking by-laws and the provincial Smoke-Free Ontario Act, and on smoking cessation programs and services.
