Ex-Offender Counselling

Programs that provide emotional support, information and guidance for people who recently have been released from a correctional facility and are having difficulty coping with adjustment to life in the community.



The John Howard Society offers direct service to individuals who are or are at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system, and their families. Services include multiple programs for youth, adults, community programs and employment programs.

Criminalized women age 18 and older are offered an onsite drop-in support at the head office of the Elizabeth Fry Society in Hamilton. The goal of this program is to assist women who have been in conflict with the law with community reintegration.
