Talklines/Warmlines

Programs that offer a telephone service that enables people who are troubled to talk confidentially about their personal problems with an empathetic listener. These programs are often staffed by volunteers who can offer referrals for ongoing treatment, if needed.

 

Services

A free helpline that provides information on asthma, COPD, and lung cancer. Educators guidance on a variety of lung health concerns including breathing conditions, smoking cessation counselling, and indoor and outdoor air quality issues.

National call, text, and live chat counselling services for youth. Services are free, anonymous, and confidential.  Professional counsellors are available 24/7 for support, information, and referrals. Services include: 

Provides a free, confidential helpline that provides information, support, and community referrals to Canadians affected by eating disorders.

These supports are also available via email and live chat through the website.

Free and confidential helpline that provides professional counselling, information, and referrals for mental health, addictions, and well-being to post-secondary students in Ontario.

Kids Help Phone Location. There is no physical location for this service. Services are available through phone call, text, or live chat.

Confidential, non-judgmental, telephone and online support for those wanting to quit smoking. Text messaging support also available.

Canada-wide bilingual information service provides information about cancer, community resources, and other cancer-related topics to patients, families, general public, and health professionals. Information is available through the phone or online through the Community Services Locator.
