Life Sciences Clubs/Societies

Programs that provide organized opportunities for individuals to pursue their interest in the study of plants and animals, often through the medium of a club or society that is under the leadership of people who are knowledgeable in the subject. Activities may include lectures, slide shows and other presentations that deal with elements of biology, botany, zoology and other life sciences; opportunities for members to share and/or discuss their own work on issues in the subject area; excursions to discover and observe plants, birds, animals and marine life in their natural environment; and other activities that promote the study and appreciation of the life sciences among members. Included are Internet-based virtual clubs, WebRings devoted to the subject and clubs where members meet face-to-face.

 

Services

Holds monthly meetings promoting the study, appreciation, and conservation of wild plants and animals, featuring guest speakers talking about a variety of nature-related topics. Also offers activities and events for Naturalists in Hamilton, including:

A non-profit organization dedicated to the study, appreciation, and conservation of wild plants and animals.

Offers information-filled club meetings and events are for children with a keen interest in natural history. Outdoor sessions are 2.5 hours long and are themed to match the season and hiking location.
