Programs that provide organized opportunities for individuals who play a musical instrument to join a band, orchestra or other musical group and learn to play in concert with fellow musicians.

Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra Music Programs

Offers steelpan music programs for beginner and advanced players. Instructor-led group sessions are held weekly. No previous experience is required. Provides local youth with the opportunity for positive group interaction, creative expression, and music literacy.

Hamilton Concert Band Rehearsals and Performances

Provides an outlet for local musicians to display their talents, and makes concert band music available to the public. The band, which rehearses and plays concerts all year long, plays for many local events and institutions, and has its own feature concert series.

A non-profit organization offering a creative outlet for musicians, while providing low cost or free entertainment for retirement homes, special needs homes, community events, and for the general public. New members are welcome.  

Dundas Valley Orchestra Performances

Offers free concerts for the general public, as well as performances for local retirement homes and long term care residences.

A community orchestra of amateur musicians who rehearse together and perform for local retirement homes and long term care residences.  Also holds free concerts for the general public, often accompanied by other soloists and performance ensembles.

Offers music ensemble programs for youth. No experience is necessary, new members are always welcome. Programs include:

A regionally sponsored bagpipe and drum marching band who contributes to patriotic, cultural, charitable and other activities in Dundas.  Also offers bagpiping instructions.
