LGBTQ2+ Social Clubs

Organizations that provide an opportunity for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning to meet and socialize through dances, parties, picnics, barbecues, pride events and other companionable activities. Some clubs may also offer lecture series which address topics of interest to the membership; provide opportunities for involvement in charitable fundraising and other similar activities; or be specifically configured for LGBTQ individuals with other characteristics e.g., gender questioning youth, Jewish lesbians, Catholic gays or people representative of a particular cultural heritage.

 

Services

An immigration and newcomer program designed for 2S-LGBTQIA+ youth who are newcomers to Hamilton .

Services include:

A 2SLGBTQIA+ youth circle that aims to build an intentional space prioritizing community care and centering the voices of youth with multiple marginalized identities through activities, healing, and learning.

A social and informal support group of QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) youth. Offers the chance to connect with other racilaized LGBTQIA+ folks in a private community setting

An immigration and settlement program designed for newcomer women, youth, and 2SLGBTQ+ youth.

Services include:

Offers skill-sharing and meetup opportunities for queer and trans (LGBTQ2SIA+) young adults

Offers a monthly discussion group with guest speakers as well as a number of other activism and social events.

A volunteer run national organization dedicated to creating space for people who identify as both Muslim and queer or trans. Hosts a monthly discussion group with guest speakers as well as a number of other activism and social events.
