Ethnocultural Social Clubs

Organizations such as Sons of Italy that provide an opportunity for individuals who have a common cultural heritage to meet and socialize through dances, parties, picnics, barbecues, events for children and other companionable activities. Some organizations may also offer lecture series which address topics of interest to the membership or provide opportunities for involvement in charitable fundraising and other similar activities.

 

Services

Social and cultural centre for Italians from the northeastern most region of Italy that offers a variety of cultural focused activities and events.

A cultural community centre in Stoney Creek. Offers a number of programs and sports for the benefit of people of the Croatian Community in Canada. Facilities are available for rent, includes: main banquet hall, lounge, conference room, and outdoor pavilion.

A community centre established to promote sports and other forms of Croatian culture for the benefit of people of the Croatian community in Canada. 

Offers a variety of programs to serve and celebrate the francophone community. All programs are geared toward the French community, people in interested in French culture and language, and families of children attending French immersion schools.

Programs include:

A non-profit cultural centre that offers a variety of programs and events to serve and celebrate the francophone community.

A fraternal organization of Canadians of Italian heritage with activities focused on service, charity, heritage, and community involvement. Offers social activities and committees for members such as wine tasting, choir, FC soccer club, cooking groups, and charity golf and bowling clubs.

Italian speaking seniors meet for prayers, activities, coffee and cookies. Annual summer picnic in July and a dinner event during the spring or summer.

A seniors' club for the French community in Hamilton. Includes activities and a soup lunch. 

A seniors' Punjabi Group, which runs daily card programs at the Dominic Agostino Riverdale Community Centre.

Intercultural Community Kitchens are a space where people get together regularly to cook and eat healthy recipes and share knowledge from their cultures. Community kitchens offer the opportunity to meet others and exchange skills in a welcoming environment.
