LGBTQ2+ Support Groups

Mutual support groups whose members identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit or as part of other communities such as those in the process of coming out or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. Groups may also be structured for parents, children, heterosexual partners or other relatives or significant others. The groups provide an opportunity for members to share their issues and concerns with others in a safe, supportive environment. Meeting formats may include in-person, telephone or Internet options.

around issues of gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. Meeting
attendance and discussions are confidential. Bus tickets may be available upon request.

A national organization that offers peer-to-peer support striving to help Canadians with sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

Offers cognitive behavioural therapy and stress and coping skills for LGBTQ+ youth and adults.

A Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- based group for LGBTQ+ youth and adults to learn stress coping skills and to meet other LGBTQ+ youth and adults in your area.

A weekly check-in program for LGBTQ youth in Hamilton. Speqtrum staff check-in with participants once a week to chat, listen, provide peer, and emotional support, and connect you with other resources in the community. Check ins are offered by messaging on facebook, instagram, or email.

Offers short term individual mental health support and counselling for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 16 to 25. 

A 2SLGBTQIA+ youth circle that aims to build an intentional space prioritizing community care and centering the voices of youth with multiple marginalized identities through activities, healing, and learning.

A social and informal support group of QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) youth. Offers the chance to connect with other racilaized LGBTQIA+ folks in a private community setting
