Programs that sponsor festivals or other gala occasions which celebrate harvests, anniversaries of notable people, industries important to the area, religious events or other occurrences that are significant to the community.

 

Services

A group of volunteers who organize an annual festival to celebrate Canadian and local authors from the Hamilton area.

Head office location of Hamilton's gritLIT literacy festival. 

Annual four day festival celebrating Canadian authors. Features themed events, meet and greets with Canadian and local authors, author readings, and writing workshops. The festival takes place in late April. 

Dundas International Buskerfest Location.  Festival is held in the streets of downtown Dundas. 

Annual event held during the first full weekend of June.  Buskers from all around the world perform, including jugglers, stilt-walkers, comedians and other various performers.  Volunteer opportunities for this event are available. 

A Canada Day celebration featuring a small-town parade finishing at Lions Park, where a variety of food, entertainment, assorted activities, and kids' games is available, ending with a fireworks display later in the evening.

A group of local volunteers who the yearly Canada Day festivities for the town of London. 

A two-day event held annually on the first full weekend of May, part of a province wide celebration of community heritage.

A provincewide event administered by Ontario Heritage Trust, an agency of the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, which attracts visitors to unique heritage sites and cultural tourism experiences. 

A festival held every June, celebrating the town of Ancaster and honouring its heritage. Includes a parade, soap box derby races, children's area, local dining, and heritage exhibits.

Annual festival in late August put on by volunteers to celebrate the local peach harvest. Features arts and crafts, commercial exhibits, midway rides, live entertainment, car show, and various food booths. 

The Winona Peach Festival is held outdoors with various vendor booths. 

A group of volunteers from community churches, sports, and service organizations who organize an annual festival to celebrate the local peach harvest.  

Three day outdoor festival celebrating Italian culture and heritage of the Racalmutese community in Hamilton. Features religious processions through the streets of Northwest Hamilton and James Street North. Includes live entertainment, food vendors, bocce tournament, and a children's area. 

Location of the Fratellanza Racalmutese Italian Club.

Annual outdoor festival celebrating local and international artists, dancers, and musicians. Event is held during Canada Day weekend. Offers entertainment at multiple musical stages, various vendors, foods of the world, and includes a children's area. 

An annual outdoor arts and music festival. Activities include music, arts and crafts, food, midway rides, and kids area.

Annual free family festival hosting a vendor marketplace, entertainment, and other activities for families. 

The Dundas Cactus Festival is held near King Street West and Ogilvie Street in Dundas

Delivers programs and services which promote spiritual/emotional growth and wellness. Staff includes community approved healers, teachers, and facilitators.
