Music Appreciation

Programs that offer classes or lectures which teach the history and fundamentals of music including the basic elements of music (pitch, duration, time, harmony and form); the major stylistic characteristics from Baroque through contemporary periods as well as specific composers and works for each period; music listening skills; and musical vocabulary.

 

Services

Choir practices dedicated to the study of Gregorian Chant, and to its performance in concert and in liturgy. They also sings traditional polyphony in Latin and English.

Hamilton Music Collective operates in partnership with various local organizations to offer musical programming for youth with the opportunity to learn to play. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
