Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their skills and techniques in any of a variety of visual art forms or crafts.

 

Services

Offers a variety of Sport and Recreation programs to newcomers and Black or marginalized communities. Many programs are available for both youth and adults, contact or visit the website for more details.

Programs include:

Provides one-on-one artist mentorship to empower, mentor, and orient newcomer artists to encourage them to continue practicing their craft in Canada.

Engages newcomer and local students in gaining technical artistic skills and the fundamentals of art. Program provides two semesters of art education every year which focus on elements of design in disciplines such as: painting, pottery, dance, music, and wood-burning.

Provides youth who face barriers with an opportunity to build community and skills through the arts.  Working with award winning Hamilton artists, youth explore various creative pursuits which promote self-discovery, leadership development, and an active dialogue with the city at large. 

Art Forms Youth Art Studio Location.  A space for youth to hone their creative expression and artistic skills. 

Provides youth who face barriers with an opportunity to build community and skills through the arts.  Working with award winning Hamilton artists, youth explore various creative pursuits which promote self-discovery, leadership development, and an active dialogue with the city at large. 

Offers a variety of instructional visual arts classes and programs for all ages, as well as summer camps and day camps for children ages 4 and older.

Topics include:

Peer-led group offering watercolours, oils, acrylic, pastels, pen and ink.

Offers a variety of social and recreational programs online for adults with developmental disabilities. Visit the website to view the online event calendar.

A youth-led collective that supports the voices of young women, non-binary, and gender fluid in Hamilton. Offers events, workshops, art, and movement events, including:

Art program that provides individuals with autism spectrum disorder or a developmental disability a wide range of multi-faceted sensory stimulation while exposing students to wide range of media. Program runs four session per week.

Weekly programs for men experiencing homelessness to socialize and express themselves through artistic exercises.
