Orienteering

Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages to become involved in orienteering, a competitive sport as well as a leisure pastime in which participants use a map and compass to navigate between checkpoints along an unfamiliar course, usually in a wilderness area. Participants are most frequently on foot, but may be on horseback, on skis, in canoes, on street or mountain bikes, or in other vehicles.
