Ice Sledge Hockey
Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages with disabilities affecting their lower limbs to learn, become competitive in and enjoy ice sledge hockey, a version of ice hockey in which players are seated on two blade sledges rather than wearing skates and use sticks to pass a puck to teammates with the objective of scoring a goal. The sticks have a spike end which is used to propel the sledge and a blade end which is used to move the puck. The teams have six players apiece.
