Recreational Activities/Sports

Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local, regional or provincial level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

Skater operated, flat track roller derby league. Now comprised of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) sanctioned/charter Hammer City Eh! Team and the Beginner Level Teams The Dundurn Hassle and The Pier Pressure.

Batter Zone Sports Complex.  Home of Soccer World Hamilton Multi-Sport Camp.

Soccer World Hamilton Location.  Offers a variety of sports and recreational programs for youth and adults. 

Indoor turf facility offering a variety of summer camp, seasonal and year-round recreational programs for youth and adults.  Includes soccer, baseball, football, floorball, and golf.  Programs work on skill development, building confidence, sportsmanship, and learning game rules in a non-competit

Non-denominational Christian-based organization offering hockey, soccer and slo-pitch, to individuals of any or no religious affiliation, in the communities of Hamilton and Halton.  Each event has a half-time motivational message.  Volunteer opportunities are available through this organization. 

Offers a variety of programs and sports for the benefit of people of the Croatian community in Canada. Facilities are available for rent, includes: main banquet hall, lounge, conference room, and outdoor pavilion.
