Parks/Recreation Areas

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public recreational facilities and grounds which can be used for a variety of leisure-time activities. Included are amusement parks, beaches, camps, public gardens, harbour/marina areas, zoos and a broad range of recreational facilities that are available in community; provincial and national parks; schools and universities; and other recreational areas.

 

Services

Location of the Lynden Lions Club. Hosts the Lynden Lions Den, a hall belonging to the Lynden Lions Club, and a community park.

The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority offers various services, recreational spaces, as well as year-round and seasonal activities at their locations, including:

A conservation area offering many seasonal and year-round recreation services, including a swimming beach, children’s splash pad, picnic facilities, nature trails, observation platforms and a play area.

A public park located in Greensville. Includes baseball diamonds, playground equipment, tennis courts, and washroom facilities.

A public park located in Carlisle. Includes playground equipment and tennis courts. 

Village Green Park located in Ancaster. Includes lawn bowling facilities and tennis courts. 

A large sports park on Hamilton East Mountain. 

Martino Memorial Park. Includes the Dundas Volunteer Field for baseball activities. 

Location of Dundas Driving Park, which hosts several softball fields, a bandshell, swings, a wading pool with spray pad, an accessible play structure, an outdoor ice rink, and sheltered picnic areas. Washrooms and parking are available.

All museums can be accessed for free with a Hamilton Public Library card.
