Distress Centre Halton is a non-profit charitable organization that provides telephone and online support to people 365 days of the year. All services are confidential, anonymous, free and available to all age groups.

The Newcomer Learning Centre, located on the fourth floor of Central Library, serves people who are new to Canada.
Services include:
An emergency shelter for homeless or transient men.
Protestant Church offering a weekly worship service, children's Sunday school, youth ministry, small group Bible study, and social and recreational activities. Recordings of past sermons are available online.
Provides nutritional food to residents of Stoney Creek who are in need.
Providing support services for older adults and vulnerable persons, including:
Multidisciplinary centres aimed at delivering expert care to people and families living with ALS.
Licensed child care centres offering care for children ages 14 months to 6 years. Extended care available for children in Junior and Senior Kindergarten.
An emergency food bank operated in partnership with the Davis Creek neighbourhood association. Provides emergency food and hygiene supplies for 3-4 days to those with a low income.
Accredited long-term care home offering nursing and personal care on a 24-hour basis.
