Volunteers at Hamilton Health Sciences support patients in many different programs across the hospitals, from children’s to seniors’ care. Placements are offered in both clinical and common areas of the hospital.

A licensed child care program providing early learning opportunities for children from infant to 4 years. Operates with the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum. Includes a variety of scheduled and unscheduled activities.
Licensed child care program for children in Junior Kindergarten to 12 years of age. Provides children with various activities right at their own school.
Program offering licensed child care Monday through Friday before and after school. Registration is available full time (5 days per week) or part time (minimum of 2 set days per week) and for before and/or after school. Program includes:
Offers Ministry of Education-licensed child care for toddlers (18-30 months) and preschoolers (2.5 years up to school entry.) Lunch and healthy snacks provided.
Offers purchase of local and organic fresh fruits and vegetables at low cost, and low-cost baked goods and hot drinks to enjoy at the café.
Drop-in centre for local youth. Offers a number of safe, educational, and fun programs. Activities include digital literacy, arts, nutrition, and gender-inclusive programming.
Provides freshly made meals, highlighting plant-based ingredients, at no cost. Dine-in and takeout options are available.
Provides a light, nutritious lunch highlighting a variety of fresh ingredients every Friday, at no cost. Dine-in and takeout options are available.
