Hamilton Public Library

Hamilton Public Library (HPL) is open for browsing, holds pick up, computer use and print, fax and scan use. Due to COVID-19 precautions, all Library programs and group activities are cancelled. Bookmobiles, Extended Access, Study Halls and Visiting Library Service are also suspended. Online services are available.

Newcomer information service offered through the Hamilton Public Library. The service includes one-on-one settlement information and referrals, group information sessions and community outreach. It is a partnership with YMCA of Hamilton Burlington Brantford.


Central Library (55 York Blvd., Hamilton)

Tuesdays: 9 am-5 pm


Terryberry Library (100 Mohawk Rd. W., Hamilton)

Wednesdays: 10 am-6 pm


Alternatively, clients can contact or visit the YMCA Settlement Services office located at 25 Main Street West suite #105 or by phone at 905-526-8452, Monday to Friday 9 am-5 pm.


The program also offers an English Conversation Circle where individuals can practice their English skills and meet new friends, learn about library services and talk about their community, culture and customs. The English Conversation Circle meets at the Terryberry Library (Mondays and Wednesdays, 4pm) and Central Library (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4pm).
