Due to Covid-19 the shelter has re-configured rooms to ensure social distancing and is full. The City of Hamilton has secured hotel spaces for overflow for women experiencing violence.

A service designed to provide support to female identifying individuals (with or without children), that have experienced violence and abuse. Services include: individual counselling, safety planning, developing short and long-term goals, and referrals to community services such as parenting workshops, job training, legal aid, and housing. The Transitional Support Worker can meet clients in the community to discuss any questions, concerns, plans, or support that may be needed.

Eligibility

Age 16 years and older; Female identifying individuals who have experienced abuse, and their children.
