Compass Community Health Centre

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Compass Community Health Groups are cancelled until further notice. All non-essential programs and services including the gym services are also cancelled.

An innovative stay-in-school program, designed to reduce poverty and its effects, by lowering the dropout rate among high school students, from economically disadvantaged communities, and increase their participation in post-secondary programs.

Four Core Elements of Support:

Academic Support through tutoring, and group and career mentoring

Social Support through goal oriented programming that includes workshops, events, and field trips

Financial Support through scholarships, bus tickets/food vouchers

Counselling and Personal Support from a Pathways Coach, discuss goals and achievements

Program is funded through Pathways Canada

Eligibility

Age 13 years and older; Eligible youth are enrolled in secondary school, and live in the neighbourhoods of Bennetto, Keith, Gibson and Landsdale.
