Equestrian Association for the Disabled (The) (TEAD)

An accredited therapeutic riding, training, and examination facility that provides therapeutic horseback riding instruction to people with physical and emotional disabilities on a 92-acre horse farm in Mount Hope, Ontario.

Operates under the safety and operational guidelines of Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) and Ontario Therapeutic Riding Association (OnTRA). A waiting list exists for new participants.

Eligibility

Age 6 years to 16 years; People with physical and emotional disabilities * medical forms required to participate * maximum rider weight limit is 170 lbs * volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and complete a police screening
