Gwen Lee Supportive Housing consists private bachelor apartment units located in an apartment building managed by CityHousing Hamilton. Support services are provided by Personal Support Workers who are on site 24 hours a day on a scheduled basis, or as needed. Each apartment has an emergency response system installed for 24-hour assistance.
Gwen Lee Supportive Housing provides the following services:
- personal care (bathing, mouth and/or hair care, preventative skin care)
- Personal support/assistance (dressing/undressing, assistance with pre-measured medication, exercising, reassurance and safety checks)
- homemaking services (light housekeeping, laundry, meal services)
- crisis intervention
- information and referral
- advocacy

Eligibility
Clients must be:
- able to direct and participate in their own care
- 60 years of age or older
- in need of personal assistance/support for daily living activities and require the need for 24-hour, on-site assistance
