ARCH provides a range of legal services, including Summary Advice and Referrals directly to persons with disabilities from across Ontario. This service is free and offers legal and non-legal referrals, legal information, and summary legal advice, on the following disability-related areas of law:
- accessibility laws
- homecare and attendant/PSW services
- transportation
- discrimination/human rights (in certain areas)
- accommodation in the workplace
- primary/secondary/post-secondary education
- service animals and guide dogs
- decision-making rights
- removing guardianship
ARCH also serves the disability community through Public Legal Education, Law Reform and Community Development initiatives, and Test Case Litigation. ARCH is a not-for-profit organization with Charitable status, and is primarily funded by Legal Aid Ontario.
