Labour Community Advocate Training Program

An accredited 8-week program to give union members tools to understand what supports are available in their community and connect with the appropriate resources. Participants will receive training on interviewing, referrals, communication, and so much more.

Labour Community Advocates:

• Link workers facing workplace, personal or family challenges with resources in the community;
• Identify community issues where the union can play a role, through collective bargaining or social action; and
• Support community activism among union members, unions and labour organizations.
