Ontario Electricity Support Program

A program that lowers electricity bills for low-income households. The program will reduce the cost of household electricity by applying a monthly credit directly to the bill. The credit amount will depend on how many people live in the home and the combined household income.

Eligibility

Open to all low-income individuals and families who have accounts with electric utilities, unit sub-meter providers and retail energy companies

Application Instructions

Apply online or or through intake agencies, by appointment only. Applicant must have: 
* The electricity bill account number, service address, and account holder details
* The birthdates and names of all residents in the home
* Social Insurance Numbers, Individual Tax Numbers, or temporary taxation numbers for residents over the age of 16
