Children's Aid Society provides adoption and fostering education programs, home studies, adoption placement of children, post-placement counselling and support, and fulfillment of legal requirements to finalize placement of children for adoption. It also facilitates kinship adoptions.

Adoptive families can be couples who are married, common-law, same gender, single parents, families with children, and families of various religious and ethnic backgrounds.
