The Hamilton Museum of Mental Health Care is committed to the collection, interpretation and continued preservation of the history of mental health care at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton Margaret and Charles Juravinski Centre for Integrated Healthcare. This collection represents artifacts and information from the earliest days when the hospital was known as Ontario Hospital Hamilton until the present.

A free community based pulmonary rehabilitation program designed to enhance quality of life for people living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and help reduce hospital admission. The program offers a bundle of services throughout a 10-week intensive exercise and education program, followed by team and peer support, as well as, periodic reassessment over one year for graduates of the program.

Supports patient care at Hamilton Health Sciences through the operation of cafes, cafeterias, parking facilities, Give Shops, and retail services across the organization. All profits generated across Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association shops and services are donated to enhance patient care. 

Nurses provide advanced foot care for people of all ages. Care is delivered in clients’ homes, including retirement homes, or at community clinics.

Services include:

  • clipping nails
  • treating corns, calluses, ingrown nails, and thickened nails
  • preventative foot care
  • referral to other health professionals as required

Specialized service and treatment for individuals who have behaviours related to a diagnosis of dementia. Program provides service to Local Health Integrated Network (LHIN) 4 (the regions of Niagara, Brant, and Halton). Program goal is to return clients to an appropriate care setting within their home community after assessment and development of a treatment plan.

Medical clinic that provides safe abortion services. Abortions are performed under local anaesthetic for women in their first and second trimester of pregnancy. Personal information is confidential. Social workers are available to assist with options and counselling. Also provides IUD insertion, complex family planning care, and ultrasounds. Does not offer medical abortions but can help arrange a referral if needed. Part of the Hamilton Health Sciences Network.

A co-ed residential treatment program for youth with complex mental health concerns. Helps residents develop skill to manage and understand their own mental health concerns and provides aftercare to youth for up to two years after they leave the residence.
