Older Adult Social Clubs

Organizations such that provide an opportunity for older adults to meet and socialize through dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable activities. Some organizations may also offer lecture series which address topics of interest to the membership or provide opportunities for involvement in charitable fundraising and other similar activities.



Provides independent living seniors a place to gather, develop friendships, and get involved in formal organized activities. Light lunch and snacks are provided.

A seniors' club for the French community in Hamilton. Activities include shuffle board, cards, bean bag exercises and dances; a homemade soup lunch is served by members.

A seniors' Punjabi Group, which runs daily card programs at the Riverdale Community Centre.

Social club for older adults that meets once per week to play euchre.

Small prizes are available to be won.

5th Monday of each month is a pot luck lunch.

New members are invited to visit for a few weeks before committing to join. 

Glanbrook Community Services provides an older adult's social program offering euchre and lunch.

Seniors' group that meets regularly at Freelton United Church to play euchre. Light lunch and prizes are provided. 

Seniors' social club that meet weekly for euchre games.

Group of retired men who play golf at Knollwood Golf Club. It is not necessary to be a member of Knollwood to join this group.

Assists isolated and at risk seniors age 55 and older with making social connections and maintaining independence through various activities and community referrals. The program is partnered with CityHousing Hamilton buildings delivering seniors programs. 

Program provides a casual space for seniors to gather and socialize with an emphasis on low-income seniors who are vulnerable, potentially isolated or are living in at-risk conditions.
